UNTITLED SERIES

(2022-2023)
A photo project intentionally without a title in collaboration with dear friend & hauntingly talented photographer Elizabeth Burger. I am the subject, 1/2 of creative concepts, and editor in post. I hope that you look at these and think “something’s up with this girl”.

This series was influenced by the work of Petra Collins, the music of Ethel Cain, the aesthetic of Silent Hill, fake blood, and real dirt.

Part 001.

(2022)
The initial shoot exploring the concepts of isolation in domestic spaces, being trapped in beauty routines, blood and irony, and existing in the more crude and quiet parts of girlhood.



Part 002.

(2022)
Touching grass in the park with a demon girl, presenting the juxtaposition of natural light and shadow, as well as the vibrancy and dullness of early autumn. Is she rising with the fungi, or dying with the leaves?



Part 003.

(2022)
Feeling inspired by the previous shoot, we drove to a vampire’s least favorite spot (the beach) to take advantage of the lighting and space of a vacant parking lot. There is an air of paranoia and mystery in this shoot regarding the who, what, why of it all, but what we always wanted to convey with each shoot was the control and awareness the subject (being me) had in the situation.



Part 004.

(2023)
Directly influenced by the visual horror of Silent Hill, we upgraded the production value of this shoot by incorporating muddy bath bombs paired with layers and layers of hair extensions and eye shadow. I was in quite a trance during the editing process where I found myself going down many experimental corridors while photoshopping black mold onto my bathtub, creating a nude illusion, and generously corrupting each image with overlays and textures as if they were a spreading infection.



Part 005.

(2023)
The fifth and final shoot (for now...) was a love letter to the eery and chic nature of Victorian portraiture, spirits that appear in photographs in the form of orbs and light streaks, and to this gown that I own.
